Following the devastating fire in November 2021, the popular Star Inn has been completely rebuilt, refurbished and lovingly restored back to its best, ready for a new lease of life. This includes conserving some of the original charred roof timbers and also revealing some previously hidden features only recently found. Yet another episode in the life of this much loved 14th century inn’s history.

It is situated in the village of Harome and offers excellent dining and a drinking options with a superb menu serving ‘modern Yorkshire’ food made primarily from locally-sourced seasonal ingredients, such as local game, North Sea fish and fresh herbs from its own kitchen garden.

Converted from an old blacksmith’s shop, the village shop and connected barns into a small hotel, bar and restaurant which has established itself with an excellent reputation for great food and currently holds 2 AA rosettes. It has a homely and welcoming ambience throughout the lounge area, bar, conservatory, dining room and terrace, providing many lovely options to eat or enjoy a drink.
